Okay, so this post isn't about an event. It's about something even better... Nutella! And pie! I made a slight change to a recipe I found on Pinterest. You can find the original here.
This pie is super easy and only takes a few minutes to make.
Ingredients
1. Beat together the cream cheese and sugar until creamy.
Ingredients
- graham cracker crust ( I buy the pre-made ones)
- 16 ounces of softened cream cheese
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of Nutella
- 1/2 cup of cool whip
- mini chocolate chips (about 1/2 bag)
1. Beat together the cream cheese and sugar until creamy.
2. Add the vanilla extract and Nutella and mix until well blended and then fold in the cool whip.
3. This step is optional. I melted the chocolate chips in the microwave and spread them on the bottom of the crust.
4. Spread the delicious pie on top. You can add mini chocolate chips on top for more appeal and of course, more chocolate! Place the pie in the refrigerator for at least a couple hours before serving.
Disclaimer. This was the first time I had put the chocolate on the bottom of the pie. It did add a lot to the pie but it also made it very difficult to cut. If I were going to put the chocolate on the bottom again I would probably make the pie into bars. People ended up picking up the pieces of pie and eating it like a bar anyway. I may try and put a chocolate ganache on the bottom if I want to have it eat more like a pie.
I hope you enjoy this pie as much as my family does!
All the best,
Alice
